Overall though, so long as you're playing smart, then there really isn't any reason for someone to be pissed off at you for playing Limbo. I also recall that at one point there was a bug that caused the rift to occasionally eat drops (like Reactant), though I personally never experienced that. Being that Limbo's Stasis at one point stopped any projectile caught in the rift. Lastly, it is worth noting that part of the reason Limbo has a bad reputation is something that is no longer relevant. ![]() This can be done by only banishing the escort target when built for Duration. However there is one notable alternative use for Limbo, and that's essentially as a escort target protector (such as with Defense Arbitrations or Defense Sorties). ![]() Doubly so if someone has a Veiled Riven that requires them to make it through a high level defense mission without the objective taking damage. This is useful for missions that involve defending a target, such Defense missions, Mobile Defense missions, and Kuva Survival. For the most part a Limbo will use their Cataclysm and then Stasis, which will hard lock-down an area and is only really countered by Nullifiers. Namely speaking, a lot of "viable" Limbo builds have high duration, with range being higher or lower based on the task at hand. However this shouldn't discourage people from using Limbo, as he is a frame that can make a lot of tasks trivial if used correctly. A lot of people don't enjoy having to revive something that keeps going down. Limbo is a rather fragile frame, forcing him to use his abilities and passive to survive. which means only the Limbo has free access to damage the enemy without abilities. Either they catch a teammate in it, which will have it so they can't use their weapons on anything that isn't in the rift until they roll (some people don't know you can roll to exit the Rift), or they catch an enemy in it. There are plenty of Limbos that will use Banish regularly, usually doing one of two things. Limbo in general is a frame that can make it more annoying to kill enemies simply for his gimmick (It's not as bad if you're only putting enemies into the Rift with Cataclysm). Limbo Prime looks freaking amazing anyway and is one of the Primes you can farm and get in game right now.Ī bit late for this and the reasons I would suggest have probably already been mentioned, but it's generally a combination of these factors: Limbo is extremely strong and fun to play. In either case, they become annoyed when confronted with something they understand. One issue I see again and again in many games is players either being very focused on one character/class or something and not bothering or wanting to learn about any other character/class in the game, leading them to complain because they don't understand them or they just lack the ability to retain large amounts of information and therefore choose to retain only information relevant to their personal experience. I was actually just playing Limbo Prime earlier and chuckling as someone in the squad was yelling at me to stop using my abilities and I asked him why, and explained to him that it wasn't negatively impacting him and in fact was helping him. I was suddenly unable to attack enemies or pick up items on the ground and I wasn't sure what was going on - but after reading how his abilities work and having some more experience with him, I now have no problem with Limbo and there have been some missions I've done where the Limbo in the squad made a joke out of what would have otherwise been a very annoying situation. when I was new to the game, Limbo's abilities confused me.
